It is
just after 1pm. The temperature is 55
degrees and it is rainy. Can you guess
we are ‘up north’? We are on Prince
Edward Island (PEI). Briefly, I will layout
our travels on how we got here.
The
last entry of our blog was from Florida, dated March 2019. From there, we went to Gulf Shores, AL, to
visit Linda’s cousin and his wife (Larry and Holly).
At
this point, we had our sights on getting to Vermont for our summer work-camp
stint. From Alabama, we enjoyed Georgia,
South Carolina and North Carolina. That
took up April.
May
saw us in Washington, DC, visiting a friend, Yvonne D, who we met while in Klamath,
CA. We walked around downtown to see
some of the fabulous sights there.
Yvonne was a great hostess!
The
rest of May, we occupied our time traveling through Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Rhode Island and Maine.

We
started our work-camping at the Knight Point Vermont State Park on June 8. While in Vermont, we discovered the von Trapp family lodge. I could just picture Maria coming out singing "The Sound of Music"! This is the grave site of Maria and her husband.
The Knight Point state park is absolutely beautiful. There were flowers blooming the entire time we were there.

This is where we sat to enjoy the birds and cool breezes.
We
left there Sep 8, and traveled to Maine, where we then met up with some other friends,
Don and Menika, who we also met while in Klamath, CA.
That
brings us up to date, where we are now, on the PEI.
